Training for PA Employers
These courses are for people who are employing (or thinking about employing) Personal Assistants directly (disabled people or their families).
They are run by Louise Watch who is not only an experienced trainer but has also employed Personal Assistants for many years. You can find out more about Louise from the navigation menu.
Louise is also a qualified trainer and disability consultant.
Courses cover many things including:
- Independent Living
- Introduction to using Personal Assistance
- Funding for Personal Assistance at home, work or in higher education.
- Recruiting and Employing a PA
- Staying in control / assertiveness.
- Using disciplinary procedures - what if it all goes wrong.
Courses are currently run in Ashford, Maidstone or at Shorne Wood Country Park in Kent and you can read the details of each course from the navigation menu.
We may also be able to run a course in the South East of England if required and are happy to work with Centres for Independent Living, Direct Payment Support Schemes and Day/Resource centres to arrange courses in your area.
