All councils realise that if Putting People First is to become a reality, it will involve systemic change across Adult Services.

Part of this change to personalised budgets involves intensive learning and development for staff as they take on new roles and enhance their knowledge / skills.

Supporting staff through these changes can be difficult. People often feel:

  • lack of ongoing information as things change and develop.
  • expectation to get going with a new way of working before attending training.
  • discovering a need for ongoing learning when 'putting it all into practice'

How can our e-Learning help with Putting People First?

The benefits of e-Learning are well known - but we like to think of our courses as giving a little bit extra to learners (not least because our experienced web designers and consultants use peresonalised support and direct payments themselves).

  • Cost effective -

  • Easily updates

We know that information often changes as adjustments to new policy and procedures are finalised, practice is reviewed or during restructuring. We can update most sites within 24 hours to ensure accurate and responsive information for all staff.

  • Individual learning logs

Each user can track their progress through the modules - so learners can access the resource anytime they want and tailor their learning and development time.

  • Certification.

Each individual can submit their responses to IforI and we will provide a certificate of learning as appropriate.

  • Partnership organisation are kept in the loop.

If you work with a support organisation, voluntary organisations and PCTs, we can ensure they can also access the e-Learning courses as you feel appropriate. We find that this really helps remove the isolation of mental health teams and others who may not have access to your intra-net system.
